A Very Different Maternity Session

I've bugged Teddi for months about her maternity portrait. I wanted her in the mountains, in the snow, on the railroad tracks - she had heard it all. So, when it came down to THE day - I was driving by a mall they were demolishing and thought "this is it!!!". We did a few portraits at my studio and then headed down to the construction area. All the construction workers laughed to themselves and we saw a few shaking their heads - oh, well - we were there to do something different and I think we succeeded! Comments???

Thanks, Teddi for being such a good sport! I love the last one - I have to say, it's not easy photographing a photographer because they always know what's coming next.......

I was wondering when you were going to post. These are lovely...It is refreshing to have a belly that is not in your traditional setting. I think the chiffon..blown out window has gotten a bit overdone with bellies from people- that this juxtaposition of organic feel to the not so organic. In a sense the construction is symbiotic with pregnancy. UNDER CONSTRUCTION..."building,working on something until further notice, Brilliant is what it is...you keep on with your wheels turning. i love you.

I absolutely love these photos Paige! Now looking back on them I miss my pregnant belly.

You didn't mention that chair from the first picture...you know the one we found outside of Arby's ready to be picked up by waste management, hahaaha. When the outdoors is your studio you have so many great opportunities!
