What Have I Been Up To?

I've been getting a lot of e-mails and calls asking what I've been up to - how come there hasn't been any blog love?

Well, the blog love is coming, I promise. I've been shooting so much and managing so many different things right now that, sadly, the blog has fallen to the bottom of the list.

What is taking up so much of my time? Moving (yet again and the last TIME I swear).......Construction and studio expansion.....Buying a home and remodeling (kitchen and bathroom are gutted and my hubby and I are doing most of the work)......Photographing one of the most amazing events of my life - my Grandpa turned 100 and we had a huge party and family reunion.....my studio partner having a baby.....super amazing and fun weddings, engagements, maternity portraits and family portraits! It's been a whirlwind of events these last couple of months. I'm so excited to share the images - SOON!

More Photos from Victor

As promised, here are more photos from Victor - mostly just of the area and surroundings. There was so much to photograph, we are planning another trip.

The photo of the explosive boxes was taken at an abandoned property where they had lined the entire garage (I assume for insulation?).

Victor, Colorado

Last weekend my husband Chad and I took a drive down to Victor, Colorado to search for old mines and other cool stuff. We found some really great structures! Take a look - we took a lot of photos and could have spent a full day there as there was so much to see! I'll post more as I go through and look at everything......

It seems like Textures have come into a world of their own lately - it's great to see everyone experimenting with them!

Here are a few that I've been playing with....these are my own textures that I've photographed out and about!

Best of Weddings 2008 - The Knot

Paige Eden Photography, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a 2008 Pick for The Knot Best of Weddings magazine, a coast-to-coast, by-brides-for-brides guide to the top wedding sites, photographers, florists and more in over 40 key cities across the United States published by The Knot, Inc. - the #1 wedding website and most trusted wedding resource.

The Knot conducted it's second annual survey of over 20,000 recent brides to capture detailed feedback on every business that couples hired for their wedding celebration.

Denver newlyweds contributed their raves and reviews on the area's wedding professionals. The newlyweds were asked to rate their vendors on multiple criteria, from creativity to professionalism, and to comment on their experiences. The resulting ratings and detailed feedback were aggregated by the editors of The Knot to create this one-of-a-kind publication highlighting the best wedding resources in each region according to local brides. The survey was administered by Harris Interactive.

(press release furnished by the Knot - do you really think I could write something THAT good?)

A Foggy Day

Yesterday was really foggy and made for some really great photos - I grabbed a few on my way to the office.

A Very Different Maternity Session

I've bugged Teddi for months about her maternity portrait. I wanted her in the mountains, in the snow, on the railroad tracks - she had heard it all. So, when it came down to THE day - I was driving by a mall they were demolishing and thought "this is it!!!". We did a few portraits at my studio and then headed down to the construction area. All the construction workers laughed to themselves and we saw a few shaking their heads - oh, well - we were there to do something different and I think we succeeded! Comments???

Thanks, Teddi for being such a good sport! I love the last one - I have to say, it's not easy photographing a photographer because they always know what's coming next.......

New York, Anyone?

After feeling guilty about not blogging for weeks now.....time for some inspiration!

I think New York is my most favorite city.....Enjoy!
